FROM FEBRUARY 1, 2024 THE MODE FOR THE ELECTRONIC TRANSMISSION OF THE APPLICATIONS FOR THE START OF THE ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT PROCEDURE (EIA) WILL BE ACTIVATED

The new method which will replace, when fully operational, the current procedure for transmitting requests and related attachments by post/brevi manu and/or PEC, will make it easier for the developer, whether public or private, to complete the presentation of the requests through the new functions made available without having to resort to asynchronous systems, while at the same time making the activity of administrative verification of the proceedability of the application more efficient for the General Directorate of Environmental Assessments.
The initiative of the General Directorate for Environmental Assessments is aimed at continuing the actions aimed at the digitalisation of the administrative procedures of the Public Administration, following up on what has already been carried out through the management of the web portal dedicated to the publication of EIA/SEA/AIA procedures.

The sending of the aforementioned requests can also take place, until April 30, 2024, by post/brevi manu and/or PEC, according to the current technical specifications for the preparation and transmission of documentation in electronic format for SEA and EIA procedures pursuant to Legislative Decree 152/2006, available at https://va.mite.gov.it/en-GB/ps/DatiEStrumenti/Modulistica.

It is advisable not to duplicate requests so as not to aggravate the administrative procedures.
