As part of the meeting of the European EIA-SEA Expert Group (Vilnius 5-6 September), JASPERS (Joint Assistance to Support Projects in European Regions, which provides technical assistance to Member States that joined the EU in 2004 and 2007 in the development of projects co-financed by the EU) has presented a toolkit designed to support the environmental authorities of the Member States adopting the SEA and EIA strategies that can meet the requirements of ex-ante conditionality for the new programming cycle of EU funds 2014-2020.
The kit provides tools and general recommendations, to be used for the development of a global strategy on SEA and EIA and specific guidelines for transboundary EIAs (pursuant to art. 7 of Directive 2011/92 / EU) and for the preparation of Environmental Impact Studies for certain types of projects (waste incinerators, landfills, roads, railways, plant acts to wastewater treatment).
