In view of the large number of reports from citizens, organizations and administrations the Ministry of the Environment, Land and Sea by note of 24 September, 2014 requested clarifications from the Ministry of Infrastructures and Transports with respect to the following projects:

and to the parties involved.

The Ministry of Infrastructures and Transports, by note of 6 October, 2014 clarified that:

  • As concerns the “Adaptation of the waterway access to Venice's marine station and redevelopment of areas adjacent to the Contorta-Sant'Angelo channel” project, the Venice Port Authority is the implementing body;
  • The “Venis Cruise 2.0 Project - Construction of a new terminal at Bocca di Lido in Venice for the mooring of large cruise ships” project is to be assessed under the provisions laid down by Strategic works Law 443/2001.

In addition, the Ministry of Infrastructures and Transports has confirmed that the strategic objective of the infrastructure, underlying the definition in Annex XI Infrastructure approved by CIPE on 1 August, 2014, finds satisfaction through separate project proposals.
