Environmental Assessments and Authorizations: SEA - EIA - IPPC Permit

Article 15 of Decree 91 of the 24^th of June 2014 introduces changes with regard to the publicity measures for the EIA screening procedure (Article 20 of Legislative Decree 152/2006 as amended).

As part of the rationalization and streamlining of the administrative procedures, the notice of the submission of the EIA screening application will be published on the website of the competent authority and will no longer require the publication of the public notice in the Official Journal of the Italian Republic for national projects (or in the Official Bulletin of the Region for regional projects) and on the notice board of the municipalities concerned.

With regard to national projects subject to EIA screening, notices will be published on the Environmental Assessment Portal of the Ministry of the Environment.

The new form for the notice to the public for EIA screening is available in the Forms section of the Environmental Assessment Portal. The form shall include the publication date of the notice on the Portal as from that date 45 days will run for comments from the public.
